Bhutan BTN ↔ INR Converter

Convert Bhutanese ngultrum and Indian rupees at official 1:1 parity. Swap currencies, choose decimal precision and copy a clearly labelled parity calculation.

OFFICIAL PARITY · 1 BTN = 1 INR

Nonnegative amounts up to 1 trillion; at most 6 decimal places.

Indian Rupee (₹, INR)₹ 2500.002500 BTN × 1 = 2500.00 INR

Official parity is not a bank payout quote. Charges and transaction conditions may affect the proceeds.

How to use Bhutan BTN ↔ INR Converter

Compare an amount written in Bhutanese ngultrum (Nu., BTN) with Indian rupees (₹, INR). The Royal Monetary Authority describes the ngultrum as pegged at par to the rupee. This tool applies that relationship directly; it does not fetch a bank quote or estimate how much cash a provider will hand over.

  1. Enter a nonnegative amount without currency symbols or commas. Up to six decimal places and a maximum of 1 trillion are supported.
  2. Choose the source currency or use Swap currencies. At parity the numeric amount stays unchanged; the currency labels change.
  3. Choose display precision and copy the labelled calculation. Ask your provider about fees, eligibility and transaction conditions before exchanging money.

Calculation rules and sources

Converted amount = input amount × 1. The same rule applies in both directions. Decimal input is processed as integer millionths and rounded half up only for display, avoiding binary-number rounding surprises such as 1.005 becoming 1.00 at two decimals. Precision does not change the peg or imply that cash transactions accept fractional denominations. This is official parity, not a live retail exchange quotation. Source checked on 31 October 2026; the rate is bundled and is not automatically monitored. Inputs stay in browser memory and no conversion request is sent to a server.

Practical questions

Is this a live exchange rate?

No. It is a deterministic calculation using the official parity described by the RMA. No market feed or retail buy/sell spread is used.

Will a bank pay exactly this amount?

Not necessarily. Banks and payment providers may apply charges, eligibility checks, limits or other transaction conditions. Confirm the actual proceeds with your provider.

Why allow more than two decimals?

Extra precision can help compare calculations, but it does not establish accepted payment denominations. The copied result includes its currencies and parity basis.

Practical examples

Compare a quoted amount

Input
BTN 2,500
Result
INR 2,500.00 at parity

The currency changes but the nominal amount does not. Any service fee must be considered separately.

Convert in the other direction

Input
INR 875.50
Result
BTN 875.50 at parity

The inverse of a one-to-one ratio is also one-to-one.

Display rounding

Input
BTN 1.005; 2 decimal places
Result
INR 1.01

Half-up rounding affects the displayed amount only. Six-decimal display preserves the entered fraction.
