Pakistan Zakat Calculator
Estimate Zakat in PKR from eligible assets and liabilities using your verified Nisab, editable rate and holding-period assessment, with a clear breakdown.
How to use Pakistan Zakat Calculator
Prepare a wealth assessment using values appropriate to your chosen assessment date. Enter the PKR value of eligible gold and silver alongside cash, savings and investments, avoiding double counting. The calculator leaves Nisab blank because it cannot establish a current threshold or choose your religious guidance for you.
- Enter each eligible asset’s PKR value and only the liabilities your chosen guidance permits you to deduct.
- Supply a verified Nisab amount in PKR and review the rate. The starting 2.5% applies to the standard eligible-wealth example, not every asset class.
- Select your holding-period assessment and calculate. If unsure, treat the displayed amount as conditional and seek guidance before deciding what is payable.
Calculation explanation
Net assessable wealth = max(0, eligible assets − deductible liabilities). Under this model the threshold is met when net wealth is at least the entered Nisab. If the threshold and selected holding-period conditions are met, estimated Zakat = net wealth × rate ÷ 100; Nisab itself is not subtracted. Currency inputs accept up to two decimal places and PKR 1 trillion per field. Integer paisa arithmetic avoids rounding the threshold comparison; only the final estimate rounds half-up to a paisa. An unsure holding-period selection produces a conditional amount, not a claim of liability.

Practical questions
Where does the Nisab amount come from?
You supply it from a source appropriate to your date and chosen basis. Gold and silver prices fluctuate, and this tool neither fetches market prices nor labels a stored value as live.
Can I deduct my full mortgage or every future installment?
Not automatically. Which debts are deductible and for what period depends on the guidance you follow. Enter only liabilities you have established are eligible.
Does this replace scholarly advice or bank deduction rules?
No. It is informational arithmetic. Personal circumstances, holding-period interpretations, investment treatment and statutory deductions can differ; ask a qualified scholar about your situation.
