1. The 6-Month Rule

2. Address and PIN Verification

Once you reach a small earnings threshold (usually $10), Google will mail a physical letter containing a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to your registered address in India.

You must enter this PIN in your dashboard to verify your address. Ensure you enter your complete, correct postal address when signing up.

3. Identity Verification

Before receiving payments, you will be required to verify your identity. This usually involves uploading a government-issued ID (like a PAN card, Voter ID, or Passport). The name on the ID must exactly match the payee name in your AdSense account.

4. Tax Information (Important!)

Because Google is a US company, they are required by US law to withhold taxes on earnings generated from viewers in the US.

You MUST submit your US Tax Information (W-8BEN form) in the AdSense dashboard. If you fail to do this, Google may withhold up to 24% of your total earnings worldwide.

With the form properly filled out (using your Indian PAN), the withholding rate is significantly reduced due to tax treaties.

5. Payment Methods and Thresholds

The minimum payment threshold is $100 USD. Once you cross this, Google will issue a Wire Transfer to your Indian bank account between the 21st and 26th of the month. You will need your bank's SWIFT code and your account details to set this up.
